ADVISORY COUNCIL ELECTED
Thank you for voting in our March Advisory Council election. Our council is comprised of eight members, three were elected this year, next year four members will be elected. The eighth member, our church treasurer (currently Terry Quinn), is appointed by our pastor, due to special skills involved for that responsibility. The three members elected this year were Sheri Bounds, John Mayes, and Barbara Davis (new to the AC). Other members are Sylvester Washington, Lois Jowers, Irene Wright, and Karen Quinn.

BIBLE STUDIES
Our coed bible study will continue to meet the first and third Sundays at 1230 in Building A.
Our video study,
"I Saw the Lord" meets the 4th Sunday (April 24) at 1230 in Building A. The study will cover Part 5, Rend Your Heart, the story of David. For those of you with a workbook, the lesson begins on Page 59. Those of you without a workbook will find it helpful to read II Sam 2:12 and Psalm 51 prior to the study. All are welcome whether or not you have attended previous sessions.

WE ARE "IN" JESUS
Hello once again from Community Christian Fellowship;
This Sunday is Palm Sunday. This is the day that the Christian Community celebrates because Jesus road into Jerusalem over 2000 years ago on a donkey; a symbol of peace not war. We know that soon after this event, Jesus was arrested and crucified. And then, on what we celebrate as Easter, he was resurrected and eventually ascended to once again be with the Father as a transfigured human who was also God.
So as we celebrate the humbling yet glorious truth of the peace we find in the gospel, let us remember we can have confidence because we are "in" Jesus. And all things work for the good for those who love God "in" Jesus. We can rest assured that God's will is being done in our lives no matter what we are experiencing. So, during this Easter season, keep in mind that all things are "in" Christ and that he promised to NEVER leave us nor forsake us. In fact he sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us to assure our adoption as beloved children back to the Father because we are now "in" Jesus. Let us always be thankful for his love and grace.
